Mass Email Promotion Tips
In order to be in compliance with the law, and not be accused of spamming, there are a couple of things you must do:
1.
2. The subject line on your e-mail must be correct and relate to the content of your email. 3. Make sure to obviously label your e-mail if it contains adult content. You cannot have a false header on your e-mail. 6. You have to provide a clear, and free, link for the recipient to ‘un-scubscribe’ and if they click that link they should immediately be removed from your e-mail list and you shouldn’t send them another e-mail. Having an ‘opt-in’ list is perhaps your absolute best protection against being accused of spam. This strategy will inspire your website visitor to enroll to receive your e-mails. They’re giving you authorization to send them mails. In order to get them to sign up to your list you can offer them an incentive such as a free report or a multi part mini-course that they’re going to receive over a period of a week or so. Take a little time and develop a report that has some real worth and substance to it.
These are the fundamentals of the law. I’m not an expert or a barrister so take care you take a little time and learn all the details of the CAN SPAM law so that you can confirm your company is in compliance. Do not let the new laws scare you off from using mass email promoting since it could be a extremely effective selling tool for your business.
